60 Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in Uniondale, Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am \u2013 4:00 pm. A DSS emergency services unit worker will assess the individual\u2019s needs. The person may have to wait some time before they receive their referral for an emergency housing placement.<\/p><p><b style=\"color: #0087ca;\">If a person experiences a housing crisis after 5:00 pm <\/b>during the week, anytime during the weekend, or during a Holiday please call the DSS Emergency Night Services Unit at <a href=\"tel:5165738626\">(516) 573-8626<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong class=\"text-wrap-heading\" style=\"color: #0087ca;\">Directions<\/strong><\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #0087ca;\">Via the Northern State Parkway<\/strong><\/p><p>Take the Northern State Pkwy to exit 31A (Meadowbrook Pkwy S). Also, the individual\/family will have to return to DDS the next day and apply for on going assistance.<\/p><p><b style=\"color: #0087ca;\">If the person\/family is ineligible for DDS Emergency Housing<\/b> due to sanction or not meeting the 30 day NY residency requirement, the person can call WARM BED at <a href=\"tel:18669276233\">1-866-WARM-BED (927-6233)<\/a> only during the winter months of December 1st through March 31st.
